Funded by the African Development Bank Group with €45.59 million, this state-of-the-art facility aims to empower African youth through soft skills training and employment opportunities in the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
Over the next three years, the Park plans to collaborate with international universities and firms to train 300 youth, equipping them with the skills needed for the digital economy. Upon completion, it will accommodate over 1,000 innovators, fostering a dynamic environment for technological innovation and entrepreneurship.
Praised during a recent visit by a high-level African Development Bank donor team, Cape Verde Tech Park has achieved full occupancy and is pivotal in diversifying the country’s economy. The Park’s thriving startup culture, nurtured through events and lectures, has been particularly lauded for its role in driving innovation.
Dr. Joseph Martial Ribeiro, Deputy Director General for the West Africa Region at the African Development Bank, highlighted the Park’s success as a model for leveraging digital infrastructure to spur economic growth, even in small island nations like Cape Verde.
