Women Who Build Africa (WWBA), a dynamic organization supporting women leaders in Africa’s tech ecosystem, is hosting its second annual assembly in Nairobi, Kenya on September 5th and 6th. This exciting event follows a highly successful inaugural gathering in 2023.
Founded in 2022 by Gwera Kiwana and Thea Sokolowski, WWBA fosters a powerful community for women and non-binary founders, investors, and operators across Africa. Their mission is to bridge connections, share knowledge, and empower underrepresented groups within the tech space.
Building on last year’s momentum, the upcoming assembly offers a unique two-day experience. September 5th focuses on empowering founders through workshops, including a “reverse pitch” where investors present directly to founders. The second day features an early-stage pitch showcase for ten exceptional women founders from Africa, alongside a full conference program with insightful panels, fireside chats, and networking opportunities.
