GITEX AFRICA Morocco 2024 is set to showcase Africa’s emergence as a global force in digital transformation and Artificial Intelligence (AI). From May 29-31, 2024 in Marrakech, this tech and start-ups summit will bring together leaders, experts, governments, enterprises, and investors from 130 countries.
Organized by KAOUN International, a foreign affiliate of Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), GITEX AFRICA Morocco aims to accelerate relationships and advance Africa’s objectives in boosting its entrepreneurial and innovative economy.
The focus of this year’s event is on AI and its transformative potential across industries such as cybersecurity, cloud computing, IoT, banking, telecoms, agriculture, and education.
Over 700 global start-ups from 45 countries are expected to exhibit, highlighting the diverse innovation landscape in Africa and beyond.
Dr. Ghita Mezzour, Morocco’s minister of digital transition and administration reform, emphasized that GITEX AFRICA Morocco 2024 is integral to Morocco’s digital transition efforts. The event aims to consolidate Morocco’s position as a regional digital hub, attracting investments and stimulating job creation.
The summit will feature discussions on AI’s potential to overcome traditional barriers to economic development in Africa, setting the stage for transformative growth and increased GDP by 5.6% by 2030, according to tech leaders.
