Longhorn Publishers anticipates Sh550 million in revenues from government contracts, boosting its financial outlook for the current fiscal year.
Despite a net loss in the first half of the financial year 2023/2024 due to lower revenues and increased costs, the company expects a stronger performance fueled by sales to public schools, with a total target of Sh815 million reported in its latest annual report.
The government remains a key client for Longhorn, particularly in supplying textbooks and learning materials for the competency-based curriculum.
While the company faced challenges such as declining sales and rising costs, it remains optimistic about recovery through cost rationalization and strategic growth initiatives.
