ITU Appoints Bosun Tijani to Its Digital Innovation Board

Dr. ‘Bosun Tijani, Nigeria’s Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, has been appointed to the Digital Innovation Board of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Alliance for Digital Development by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). Alongside 17 other distinguished members, Dr. Tijani brings his expertise to drive innovation and entrepreneurship in digital development.

Chaired by ITU’s Director of Telecommunications Bureau, Cosmas Luckyson ZAVAZAVA, Ph., the board aims to provide strategic guidance for promoting digital innovation globally.

The Alliance, led by its diverse board, seeks to bridge the digital innovation gap by fostering impactful projects at national, regional, and global levels. Through collaboration with UN agencies, governments, and the private sector, the board will spearhead discussions to create an inclusive and sustainable digital future.

Dr. Tijani’s appointment underscores Nigeria’s commitment to driving digital transformation and fostering innovation for socio-economic development.
