Spiro, an electric mobility company, has partnered with Entrepreneurial Solutions Partners (ESP) to launch the Women in E-Mobility programme, an initiative aimed at empowering 5,000 women across Africa through electric mobility, entrepreneurship support and income-generating opportunities.
The programme will begin with a pilot in Rwanda, targeting 500 women. Participants will receive skills, tools and access to opportunities intended to help them establish and grow sustainable businesses in the electric mobility sector.
The initiative seeks to expand women’s participation in Africa’s growing e-mobility industry while creating economic opportunities linked to the transition from conventional transport to electric mobility.
Spiro and ESP said the programme reflects their shared ambition to make the shift to electric mobility more inclusive while supporting its environmental benefits.
By combining skills development with entrepreneurship support, the initiative aims to help women participate in the emerging electric mobility value chain and access new sources of income.
The partners have not yet announced a timeline for the programme’s wider rollout across Africa.
