Vertiv has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Cybastion to establish a framework for collaboration on digital infrastructure initiatives across Northwest Africa.

The collaboration will focus on markets including Morocco, Ivory Coast, Senegal, Burkina Faso, Chad and Gabon, where the two companies have existing engagement and strategic alignment.

The partnership is expected to enable Vertiv to engage earlier in large-scale digital infrastructure projects by combining its expertise in data centre infrastructure with Cybastion’s relationships and experience in government-led digital transformation programmes.

Vertiv Regional Director for Northwest Africa Zineb Kamri said the collaboration will allow the company to position its power, cooling and critical infrastructure solutions within broader national digitalisation programmes as demand for AI, cloud and sovereign digital infrastructure increases across Africa.

Cybastion CEO Dr. Thierry Wandji said the partnership would strengthen the company’s ability to deploy critical digital infrastructure as African countries work towards greater digital sovereignty.

Morocco has been identified as a key market, with the country seeking to strengthen its position as a regional digital hub and attract hyperscale and AI infrastructure investments.
