Space42 has strengthened its engagement with Senegal through a series of meetings focused on satellite communications and AI-powered geospatial technologies. The engagement brought the company together with senior representatives from Senegal’s national security leadership and other stakeholders.
During the meetings, Space42 presented its capabilities in secure satellite communications and its AI-powered platform for geospatial Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR). The discussions highlighted potential applications of these technologies in supporting security and situational awareness.
The company met with Senegal’s Minister of the Armed Forces, Yankhoba Diémé, as well as Mouhamadou Moctar Watt, Chief of Staff to the Minister of the Interior and Public Security. Representatives from the UAE Embassy in Senegal and Asca Holding Senegal also participated in the engagements.
The engagement forms part of Space42’s broader efforts to expand its satellite and geospatial technology capabilities across Africa. The company combines satellite communications, geospatial intelligence and artificial intelligence to turn data from space and other sources into actionable information.
For Senegal, the discussions point to growing cooperation around advanced satellite and geospatial technologies and their potential role in strengthening access to data and situational awareness.
