The United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) and the Kingdom of Morocco have strengthened their cooperation on digital transformation and public administration reform through a newly signed Memorandum of Understanding.
The agreement was signed in Rabat by United Nations Under-Secretary-General and ESCWA Executive Secretary Rania Al-Mashat and Morocco’s Minister Delegate in charge of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, Amal El Fallah Seghrouchni.
The MoU establishes a framework for enhanced regional cooperation aimed at modernising public administration and advancing digital governance reform across the Arab region.
By leveraging emerging technologies and innovative institutional strategies, the partnership seeks to improve the efficiency, accessibility and quality of public service delivery.
ESCWA and Morocco will collaborate on sharing best practices, promoting administrative innovation and supporting digital transformation initiatives across ESCWA member states.
The partnership also aims to accelerate sustainable development by strengthening the role of technology and digital governance in building more effective, responsive and inclusive public institutions across the region.
