Microsoft has reported strong financial results for the fourth quarter and full fiscal year ended June 30, 2025, with continued momentum in its cloud and artificial intelligence (AI) businesses driving double-digit growth across key financial metrics.
The technology company posted quarterly revenue of $76.4 billion, up 18% year-on-year. Operating income increased 23% to $34.3 billion, while net income rose 24% to $27.2 billion. Diluted earnings per share also climbed 24% to $3.65.
Cloud services remained Microsoft’s largest growth engine during the quarter. Microsoft Cloud generated $46.7 billion in revenue, representing 27% year-on-year growth, while the Intelligent Cloud business recorded revenue of $29.9 billion, up 26%. Azure and other cloud services revenue grew by 39%, reflecting sustained enterprise demand for cloud infrastructure and AI-powered solutions.
Microsoft Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Satya Nadella said cloud computing and AI continue to reshape business transformation across industries, highlighting that Azure surpassed $75 billion in annual revenue, growing 34% year-on-year.
The Productivity and Business Processes segment also delivered solid performance, with revenue increasing 16% to $33.1 billion. Microsoft 365 Commercial cloud revenue grew 18%, Microsoft 365 Consumer products and cloud services rose 21%, LinkedIn revenue increased 9%, while Dynamics 365 revenue expanded by 23%.
The More Personal Computing division generated $13.5 billion in revenue, up 9%, supported by growth across Windows OEM, Xbox content and services, and search and news advertising.
For the full fiscal year ended June 30, 2025, Microsoft reported revenue of $281.7 billion, up 15% year-on-year. Operating income reached $128.5 billion, net income grew to $101.8 billion, and diluted earnings per share increased 16% to $13.64.
The company also returned $9.4 billion to shareholders through dividends and share repurchases during the quarter, underscoring its continued financial strength and commitment to shareholder returns.
