MoMo from MTN Uganda has launched Travel By MoMo, a new digital travel booking platform that enables customers to search, compare and book flights directly through the MoMo App.
Developed in partnership with Next Travel and global travel technology provider Amadeus, the platform allows users to compare flight options from multiple airlines, view fares in Uganda Shillings and complete payments using MoMo, creating a seamless and locally tailored booking experience.
The launch marks another step in MoMo’s expansion beyond digital payments into lifestyle and digital services. The company said the new offering is designed to simplify travel planning while giving customers convenient access to international flight bookings through a trusted mobile platform.
The service is expected to benefit business travellers, students, families and tourists by combining Amadeus’ global travel technology, Next Travel’s industry expertise and MoMo’s digital payment infrastructure into a single travel booking solution.
