Wingu Africa, a leading carrier-neutral data centre operator in East Africa, has announced a strategic partnership with Africa Data Centres (ADC) aimed at developing a unified digital platform connecting key markets across the continent. This collaboration represents a major step forward in enhancing Africa’s interconnectivity, bringing together Wingu’s East African hubs and ADC’s continental network to create a seamless ecosystem for enterprises and service providers.

The partnership will link Wingu Africa’s data centres in Djibouti, Ethiopia, and Tanzania with ADC’s extensive footprint across South, West, and Central Africa. This connection creates a powerful network backbone that strengthens digital integration between regions while expanding market opportunities for both organisations. By merging their respective infrastructures, Wingu Africa and ADC are delivering a single, unified platform that simplifies connectivity and data management across Africa’s most critical digital markets.

For ADC, this alliance strengthens its presence in East Africa, unlocking access to three strategically significant markets and positioning the company to better serve the growing demand for digital infrastructure in the region. ADC customers will also gain access to Djibouti’s critical submarine cable gateway, Ethiopia’s fast-growing digital economy, and Tanzania’s rapidly developing cloud and mobile services sector. This partnership reinforces ADC’s role as a key player in Africa’s digital transformation by expanding its reach into high-growth territories.

Wingu Africa, on the other hand, gains access to ADC’s operations in seven additional African markets, offering its customers streamlined access to new territories without the complexity of managing multiple providers. This connection enhances Wingu’s value proposition for enterprises, cloud providers, and content delivery networks seeking efficient, reliable, and scalable operations across borders. The collaboration will enable businesses to operate with greater resilience and predictability while positioning East Africa as a stronger contributor to the continent’s digital economy.

According to Wingu Africa’s Deputy CEO, COO, and Co-Founder, Demos Kyriacou, the partnership marks a significant milestone for the company and for East Africa’s digital ecosystem. He emphasized that connecting their infrastructure with ADC’s network will make Africa’s digital economy more accessible and globally competitive. ADC CEO Adil El Youssefi echoed this sentiment, noting that Africa’s digital transformation depends on collaboration and scale, and that this partnership provides a stronger gateway into East African markets for ADC customers.
