Telecel Ghana has expanded its digital skills development efforts as the fourth cohort of the Telecel DigiTech Academy continues to empower young learners across five regions of the country.

The programme is currently being delivered in the Northern, North East, Savanna, Western and Western North regions, providing students with practical training in robotics, website development and mobile application development. The initiative is designed to equip young people with the technical and problem-solving skills needed to thrive in Ghana’s growing digital economy.

The first graduation ceremony for Cohort 4 was held in Gambaga, where 100 students successfully completed the 12-week programme. Participants showcased innovative projects, including a water level indicator, a smart fire extinguisher, sumo robots and a heartbeat monitoring system, demonstrating their ability to apply technology to real-world challenges.

The DigiTech Academy forms part of Telecel Ghana’s broader commitment to promoting digital literacy, strengthening STEM education and nurturing the next generation of technology innovators across Ghana.
