Led by its Founder and Executive Director, Eng. Michael J. Vallez, the organization is committed to working alongside African governments, educational institutions, and private sector stakeholders to develop a highly skilled workforce capable of driving large-scale industrial and economic growth.
At the heart of this initiative is a mission to empower African youth with globally recognized technical competencies that are essential for driving productivity in sectors such as energy, mining, agriculture, power generation, and shipbuilding. Eng. Vallez emphasized that Africa, as the cradle of humanity, has yet to fully participate in the global industrial revolution, and this move represents a decisive step toward unlocking that potential by equipping local talent with world-class expertise.
To achieve this, GFP International is establishing state-of-the-art Welding and Manufacturing Centres of Excellence across key African nations. These centers will offer advanced vocational and industrial training tailored to the needs of modern industries, enabling trainees to attain internationally accredited certifications that increase global employment competitiveness. The organization has also launched a $100 million African Welding School and Training Fund designed to support infrastructure development and ensure that young Africans can access these opportunities regardless of financial background.
With its Nairobi office serving as the strategic coordination hub, GFP International’s programs will align closely with Kenya’s Vision 2030 and the African Union’s Agenda 2063. Both roadmaps prioritize industrialization, manufacturing, and skill development as critical pillars for achieving economic independence and sustainable development across the continent.
