EFT Corporation has announced the appointment of Adri Führi as Group Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately. Bringing over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, Führi steps into her new role at a time when EFT Corporation is pursuing strategic growth and expanding its footprint across key African markets. Her extensive background across banking, insurance, and technology sectors positions her to strengthen the company’s financial leadership and support its long-term vision.
Führi joins EFT Corporation from e4, where she played a critical role in driving organisational growth and operational excellence during a transformative period. A qualified chartered accountant, she has served as CFO for over a decade across several leading organisations. Prior to this, she spent 12 years at Standard Bank South Africa (SBSA), gaining in-depth experience across African markets and contributing to complex financial and operational initiatives. Her expertise spans multinational corporations as well as private equity-backed businesses, giving her a broad and strategic understanding of financial ecosystems across diverse sectors.
In her new role as Group CFO, Führi will focus on financial optimisation, operational efficiency, and driving the Group’s strategic expansion agenda. Her immediate priorities include deepening her understanding of EFT Corporation’s business operations, refining financial processes, and ensuring alignment between financial strategy and the Group’s broader business goals—particularly in high-growth markets such as Ethiopia and Kenya. Her leadership is expected to play a key role in enabling EFT Corporation’s continued success as it scales its operations and product offerings across the continent.
Führi’s leadership philosophy is deeply rooted in collaboration, inclusion, and the empowerment of diverse voices. She brings a coaching-oriented approach to leadership, with a strong passion for developing talent and promoting STEM education for girls and women in technology. Her approach aligns seamlessly with EFT Corporation’s culture of innovation and its commitment to nurturing future leaders who can shape the future of Africa’s digital payments landscape.
Group Managing Director Mike Smits expressed his confidence in Führi’s appointment, noting that her proven track record in high-growth environments and her deep understanding of African markets make her a valuable addition to the executive team. With her blend of strategic insight and financial acumen, Führi is set to play a pivotal role in guiding EFT Corporation through its next phase of growth and transformation.
