Digital Parks Africa (DPA), a South African-based datacentre provider, and Kenya’s iXAfrica DataCentre have announced a strategic partnership that aims to expand their respective footprints across Southern and East Africa. This collaboration marks a significant step in strengthening Africa’s digital infrastructure, providing businesses and multinational clients with access to integrated datacentre services across key regional markets.

The partnership follows iXAfrica’s recent success in securing a multi-tranche funding package from Rand Merchant Bank, underscoring the firm’s growth ambitions and commitment to expanding Africa’s digital capacity. By aligning with DPA, both organizations are combining resources and capabilities to offer a unified solution that extends beyond national borders, allowing clients to leverage datacentre services in both regions through a single, streamlined platform.

For DPA clients, this partnership opens access to Kenya’s growing digital ecosystem, which includes robust fibre networks, cloud providers, and a rapidly expanding internet economy. At the same time, iXAfrica’s customers gain entry into South Africa’s well-established digital infrastructure, supported by DPA’s advanced facilities. This mutual exchange creates a pan-African backbone that enhances connectivity, resilience, and business continuity for organizations operating across the continent.

Snehar Shah, CEO of iXAfrica, highlighted the broader significance of the collaboration, stating that it is about “building bridges across Africa’s digital economy.” He emphasized that by aligning with DPA, customers will be able to expand seamlessly across borders while maintaining the reliability, efficiency, and resilience they associate with global markets. This partnership reflects a growing recognition that Africa’s digital transformation requires regional cooperation and integration.

Echoing these sentiments, Wiaan Vermaak, Group CCO of Digital Parks Africa, stressed that the alliance ensures Africa is not just consuming global technology but is actively shaping the digital future. By pooling expertise and infrastructure, DPA and iXAfrica are positioning themselves as leaders in enabling Africa’s digital economy, providing scalable solutions for enterprises and multinationals seeking to grow in one of the world’s most dynamic markets.

This partnership underscores the increasing importance of datacentres as the backbone of digital economies. As more businesses embrace cloud computing, data-driven operations, and digital transformation, reliable and regionally connected infrastructure becomes essential. The collaboration between DPA and iXAfrica stands as a clear signal of Africa’s readiness to build sustainable, world-class digital ecosystems capable of powering growth, innovation, and opportunity across the continent.
