Mimecast, a leading email security company, has appointed Khetan Gajjar as its new Field Chief Technology Officer (FCTO) for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). Bringing over 25 years of expertise and leadership, Gajjar is set to drive innovative cybersecurity strategies across the region.
Gajjar holds a Business Science (Honours) degree in Information Systems from the University of Cape Town. Mimecast highlights his capability to provide a “long-term vision for cybersecurity,” aiming to shape the industry, market, and product strategies effectively.
In this era of converging human risk, AI advancements, and traditional email-borne threats, Gajjar emphasizes the critical importance of securing the cyber landscape. His mission is to protect companies across EMEA by ensuring trust, innovation, and resilience in a rapidly evolving digital world.
Gajjar’s extensive experience includes leadership roles in the ICT industry and serving on the boards of several companies. Notably, he led the OpenWiFi Project Group for the Telecom Infra Project and was a Connectivity Technology Ecosystem Manager for Meta. Additionally, he served as a Council Member of the OpenWiFi Operators Council and a Board Technology Advisor at Benu Networks in the U.S.
In South Africa, Gajjar held multiple senior positions with companies such as Vodacom, VAST Networks, and Internet Solutions. His diverse background and leadership skills are expected to be instrumental in expanding Mimecast’s presence and enhancing its impact across EMEA.
