Kenyan athletes can breathe a sigh of relief as the location for the highly anticipated Olympic trials has been confirmed. The trials, scheduled for June 14th and 15th, will be held at the Nyayo National Stadium despite ongoing renovations at other certified athletic venues. This news comes after concerns from athletes regarding the trial’s location.
AK Nairobi chairperson Barnaba Korir assured athletes to maintain their focus on training and qualifying for the Paris 2024 Olympics. He emphasized the importance of athlete support, revealing ongoing discussions with the National Olympic Committee of Kenya and the government to ensure Kenyan athletes have the resources they need to succeed in Paris.
