Microsoft enters multiyear partnership with French AI startup Mistral, valued at €2 billion. The collaboration includes Microsoft taking a minor stake in Mistral, following its $10 billion investment in OpenAI.
Mistral’s language models, including the new Mistral Large, will be available on Microsoft’s Azure AI platform. This move marks Mistral as the second company after OpenAI to offer a commercial language model on Azure, facilitating the development of next-generation AI solutions.
