Kenya Airways (KQ) continues to expand its global reach with a new code-sharing agreement signed with Spain’s Air Europa, a move that comes amidst a resurgence in air travel demand. This strategic partnership enhances travel options for passengers, allowing Air Europa Flyers access to Nairobi from Amsterdam and KQ passengers seamless connections to Madrid, Palma de Mallorca, New York, and Miami.
Martin Gitonga, KQ’s head of network planning and alliances, emphasizes the benefits of this collaboration, highlighting the convenience and increased connectivity it brings to travelers, building upon the existing partnership within the SkyTeam Alliance.
Code-sharing facilitates smoother travel experiences by offering passengers the convenience of purchasing a single ticket, seamless check-ins, and uninterrupted connections at transit points. With KQ deploying its codes on four Air Europa routes and vice versa, travelers can expect enhanced accessibility and streamlined travel processes.
This agreement underscores KQ’s commitment to expanding its global network and providing passengers with more efficient and convenient travel options, further solidifying its position as a leading player in the aviation industry.
