Safaricom announces a pivotal change in its M-Pesa services, effective February 5, 2024. In a recent statement, the company revealed that M-Pesa customers will no longer have the option to send money to unregistered users.
This strategic move aims to bolster security and streamline services for registered users, ensuring they can continue seamlessly sending and receiving cash across various mobile money providers like Airtel and T-Kash.
Unregistered users are urged to promptly register for mobile money services by visiting Safaricom Shops or M-PESA Agents with their valid identification documents.
