Google has introduced significant updates to Bard, its AI-powered language model, expanding its capabilities globally. Gemini Pro, the language model behind Bard, now supports over 40 languages and is available in more than 230 countries and territories.
Users worldwide can leverage Bard for tasks such as enhanced understanding, reasoning, improved summarization, and streamlined coding. Additionally, Bard’s double-check feature, which was initially in English, has expanded to over 40 languages, enabling users to verify responses by referencing supporting information from the web, enhancing trust and transparency.
Another creative enhancement includes Bard offering image generation in English for most countries worldwide at no cost, powered by the updated Imagen 2 model. To distinguish generated images from human artwork, Bard utilizes SynthID to embed digitally identifiable watermarks into the pixels. These updates aim to empower users globally with advanced AI capabilities for diverse tasks while maintaining transparency and creativity.
