Zoho Corp. has announced a major evolution of Zoho Analytics, transforming the business intelligence and reporting platform into an Agentic Analytics solution designed to help organisations connect business data with AI-powered decision-making and automated actions.
The updated platform moves beyond traditional reporting and dashboards by introducing a trusted intelligence layer that provides AI agents with the business context, metrics and governance needed to understand organisational data and perform relevant tasks.
The upgrade addresses a key challenge in enterprise AI adoption: the difficulty AI models face in understanding company-specific terminology, departmental relationships and internal governance requirements. Zoho has embedded business context directly into the analytics platform, reducing the need for separate external data warehouses. The capabilities are available across its UAE and Saudi Arabia data centres.
The platform introduces semantic and ontology layers that help AI agents interpret business information. The semantic layer defines organisational terminology, key metrics and their meanings, while the ontology layer maps business entities and relationships across departments.
Zoho has also enhanced Ask Zia, its conversational business intelligence assistant, with a multi-agent architecture covering data analysis, modelling, visualisation, data preparation, coding and actions. A central agent coordinates specialised agents, allowing users to move between tasks while retaining conversation context.
Businesses can also create custom AI agents using the same underlying data models and knowledge base. Support for the Model Context Protocol (MCP) enables these agents to connect with external tools and systems alongside Zoho Analytics’ built-in capabilities.
Additional features include multiple semantic models for different departments, no-code model creation, Apache OData compatibility, headless business intelligence capabilities, local and remote MCP servers, and a command-line interface for developers. The platform also introduces a dedicated Claude plug-in.
Hyther Nizam, Chief Executive Officer of Zoho Middle East and Africa, said the updates provide an intelligence layer that gives AI tools access to organisational context, metrics and governance to support more reliable business decisions.
The evolution positions Zoho Analytics as a platform connecting business intelligence, organisational knowledge and agent-driven workflows, helping enterprises move from data analysis towards informed decisions and automated business operations.
