Cassava Technologies has become an authorised reseller of Anthropic’s Claude models through Amazon Bedrock, expanding access to advanced artificial intelligence solutions for organisations across Africa.
Claude offers capabilities including advanced reasoning, vision analysis, code generation and multilingual processing. Through the agreement, Cassava will help African organisations access these models through a local technology partner as they explore AI adoption and prepare for future growth.
Hardy Pemhiwa, President and Group CEO of Cassava Technologies, said the agreement responds to customer demand for access to advanced AI models. He highlighted the importance of combining AI capabilities with the infrastructure, partnerships and services businesses need to adopt the technology responsibly and participate in the digital economy.
Amazon Bedrock enables organisations to integrate Claude models into their own applications and services. Cassava’s authorised reseller status provides African customers with another route to access these capabilities through a partner focused on serving businesses across the continent.
The agreement builds on Cassava’s digital ecosystem, which includes connectivity, cloud, cyber security and AI solutions, supported by its data centre footprint across Africa. The company is investing in the infrastructure and services needed to support wider AI adoption across the continent.
