Rawbank, a leading bank in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), is expanding its digital transformation strategy by adopting the SBS Digital Banking Suite to accelerate the delivery of digital banking services.

The bank already uses SBS Core Amplitude, a modular and secure core banking solution that enables financial institutions to manage operations through a unified and scalable platform. The new digital banking suite adds a customer-focused layer designed to simplify everyday banking activities.

Customers will benefit from more intuitive mobile and web applications, greater independence in managing their accounts remotely, and reduced waiting times. Improvements will particularly target digital account opening, card management and payment services.

Rawbank CIO Arvind Kumar said the adoption supports the bank’s strategy of delivering simpler, more accessible and higher-performing services. He added that the platform would help accelerate the launch of new features, improve the digital experience and advance the bank’s ambition to expand access to financial services across the DRC.

Hassan Nasser, Deputy General Manager for Digital Engagement at SBS, said the partnership combines Rawbank’s established core banking foundation with digital capabilities designed for modern customer needs. He highlighted the combination of local market knowledge and international technology standards as a way to strengthen digital banking in Central Africa.

The adoption of the SBS Digital Banking Suite reflects Rawbank’s continued focus on modernising its digital ecosystem and responding to changing customer expectations. The initiative is expected to support individuals, entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized enterprises by improving access to modern payment solutions and mobile banking services.
