eToro, the trading and investing platform, has launched connectors for Claude, ChatGPT, Grok and Grok Bot, allowing investors to connect their eToro accounts to AI assistants they already use. Built on the Model Context Protocol (MCP), the connectors are designed to provide access to portfolio information without requiring API keys, coding or complex technical setup.
Once connected, users can ask questions about their actual holdings, positions, balances and investment performance, moving beyond general market research to analysis based on their own portfolios.
According to eToro’s latest Retail Investor Beat, 56 per cent of retail investors already use or are open to using AI tools such as ChatGPT and AI agents to help select or adjust investments.
Yoni Assia, co-founder and CEO of eToro, said AI is becoming another significant development in how people invest, following the rise of social investing and mobile trading. He highlighted the potential for investors to combine their own judgement with AI-powered analysis while retaining control over their decisions.
Users can choose read-only access for research and analysis or read-and-act access where available. Any proposed action requires review and approval, while funding and withdrawals remain within eToro rather than the AI chat. Users can also pause or disconnect their accounts at any time.
Guy Barkat, Director of API Partnerships at eToro, said the connectors bring portfolio context into everyday AI tools while maintaining clear boundaries, transparency and investor approval.
The connectors are listed in select AI platform directories, with further listings planned. Where a connector is not listed, users can add eToro manually. The company also recommends that new users begin with simple queries and test workflows using a demo account.
The launch reflects the growing integration of artificial intelligence into financial services, giving investors new ways to analyse portfolio information while maintaining oversight of investment decisions.
