MTN Eswatini has partnered with Lubane SACCO to launch a device loan scheme aimed at improving access to smartphones and mobile connectivity for cooperative members in Eswatini.
Under the partnership, eligible Lubane SACCO members can obtain smartphones through a loan arrangement facilitated by the SACCO, alongside MTN data packages.
The initiative combines telecommunications services with financial services, giving beneficiaries greater access to digital communication, mobile financial services, education, business opportunities and other digital platforms.
The programme was officially launched in Ezulwini on 3 October 2026 and will initially serve Lubane SACCO members, with potential expansion to members of other Savings and Credit Cooperative Organisations in the future.
Lubane SACCO already offers various loan products and operates digital services integrated with MTN Eswatini, including mobile savings and loan-related services. The partnership highlights efforts to use device financing and connectivity to support wider digital and financial inclusion.
