Ghana has launched the National Cybersecurity Awareness Month (NCSAM) 2026 campaign, bringing together government and financial-sector stakeholders to strengthen cybersecurity as the country’s digital economy continues to expand.
The campaign was officially launched on 1 October 2026, with discussions focused on protecting digital financial services and strengthening Ghana’s cybersecurity resilience.
Deputy Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Hon. Mohammed Adams Sukparu, outlined five key priorities for the campaign: securing digital finance, preventing and responding to cybercrime, protecting critical infrastructure, strengthening cyber hygiene, and investing in capacity building, research and collaboration.
Representing the financial sector, Daniel Sowah Klu, Acting Head of Cyber and Information Security at the Bank of Ghana, highlighted the need for stronger cybersecurity measures to keep pace with the growth of digital financial services.
The Cyber Security Authority said the campaign reinforces the importance of trust, resilience and shared responsibility as Ghana advances its digital transformation.
The initiative brings government institutions, financial-sector stakeholders and other partners together to strengthen cybersecurity awareness and resilience across the country.
