MTN Uganda expands digital and financial literacy training to Northern Uganda

MTN Uganda Foundation has taken its MTN Internet Buses to Northern Uganda as part of a nationwide programme aimed at improving digital and financial literacy among communities.

The buses travelled along two routes to Lamwo and Pader, where 406 learners are receiving training in digital skills and financial literacy.

The initiative is being delivered in partnership with Maendeleo Foundation and forms part of the sixth phase of MTN Uganda Foundation’s nationwide digital and financial literacy programme.

The latest phase began two weeks ago in Kikoni, Kampala, and is scheduled to continue across Northern, Eastern, Western and Greater Central Uganda in the coming weeks.

MTN Uganda Foundation said the programme is designed to bring digital learning closer to communities and equip participants with skills relevant to an increasingly digital economy.

The learners in Lamwo and Pader are expected to come together in Pader next week for their graduation, marking the completion of their training.
