The Airtel Africa Foundation is expanding its Tech Fellowship programme to Zambia, providing young people from underserved backgrounds with access to ICT and technology education.
Through Airtel Zambia, the Foundation will support 50 students over five years as they pursue ICT and technology-related degrees at the University of Zambia (UNZA) and Copperbelt University (CBU).
The fellowship will cover tuition, accommodation, laptops, internet connectivity and monthly allowances. Students will also receive mentorship and career development support throughout the programme.
The initiative is designed to increase access to technology education and develop a pipeline of skilled technology professionals who can contribute to Zambia’s digital economy.
Applications are currently open to eligible first-year students, providing an opportunity for students from underserved backgrounds to pursue technology-related degrees with financial and professional support.
