Air Tanzania has selected Sabre to provide the technology platform supporting its next phase of growth as the national carrier moves to modernise its core passenger operations and commercial capabilities.
Under the agreement, Air Tanzania will migrate its core passenger operations to Sabre while adopting Sabre Mosaic NDC IT to support an offer-and-order retailing model.
The transition is expected to improve scalability, strengthen interline and codeshare capabilities and provide greater flexibility as the airline expands its network and develops new approaches to revenue optimisation, retailing and customer experience.
By integrating NDC capabilities with its core passenger system, Air Tanzania aims to reduce technology fragmentation and create, optimise and distribute more personalised offers across the global travel ecosystem.
The partnership also gives the airline access to Sabre’s modular technology platform, allowing it to adopt additional capabilities as its transformation strategy develops and new technologies such as AI and modern retailing continue to evolve.
The agreement expands Sabre’s presence in East Africa and could lead to future adoption of capabilities covering offer and order management, smart payments, network planning, operational insights and disruption management.
