Liquid C2 has officially launched Africa’s first Google Cloud-powered Partner Experience Centre in Johannesburg, marking a significant milestone for cloud adoption and enterprise innovation on the continent. The centre is designed to provide partners and resellers with an immersive environment to create, experiment with, and implement solutions tailored specifically for the African market, moving beyond traditional distribution models.
At the heart of the initiative is a structured onboarding journey that guides partners toward achieving official Google Cloud accreditation and certification. Participants will collaborate with specialist engineers to develop bespoke solutions, which can then be commercialised through Liquid C2’s extensive distribution network. This approach ensures that partners are equipped with both technical expertise and practical, market-ready capabilities.
The facility also features access to advanced enterprise technologies, including Google Cloud’s Gemini AI capabilities and a dedicated “Gemini Playspace” for rapid prototyping and experimentation. Partners can test, refine, and scale solutions in real-world environments, accelerating innovation and fostering the development of AI-driven applications tailored for diverse business needs across Africa.
Ziaad Suleman, Senior Vice President at Cassava Technologies and CEO for South Africa and Botswana, emphasized that the centre reflects the company’s vision of building strong ecosystems that combine global innovation with local expertise. He highlighted that by merging Liquid C2’s infrastructure and reach with Google Cloud’s advanced technologies, the initiative democratizes access to AI and cloud capabilities for enterprises across the continent.
Tara Brady, President of Google Cloud EMEA, described the launch as a pivotal moment in the company’s commitment to Africa. The Partner Experience Centre is structured around three key pillars: accelerating partner enablement through hands-on training and proof-of-concept development, driving AI and technology innovation through dedicated experimentation environments, and fostering economic growth by expanding the pool of certified professionals and creating new job opportunities.
