Originally certified in 2022, this renewed recognition reflects the platform’s continued ability to scale effectively while maintaining the highest standards across fraud prevention, data protection, and operational reliability. EVC Plus is already a financial cornerstone in the Somali economy. With an estimated 155 million transactions processed monthly, valued at $2.7 billion, mobile money has surpassed traditional banking as the dominant financial channel in the country. More than 4.5 million Somalis and over 145 NGOs rely on the service for everyday transactions, business support, and humanitarian cash aid distribution.
