Female-led startups in South Africa now have an opportunity to apply for the fourth edition of the Innovest Ignite Accelerator, a programme designed to help early-stage ventures attract investment and scale their impact. This initiative focuses on empowering women entrepreneurs who are driving innovation and building businesses with the potential to create meaningful change.
The Innovest Ignite Accelerator is an intensive eight-week programme that runs fully online, making it accessible to founders across the region. It is open to women-led or women-founded startups at the pre-seed or seed stage, supporting those who are working on disruptive solutions that align with one or more of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Unlike many accelerators, Innovest Ignite is industry-agnostic, welcoming applications from all sectors and business models. Each cohort brings together 20–30 high-potential startups, offering tailored support to strengthen their business models, sharpen their pitches, and prepare them to meet investors.
The programme concludes with a live demo day where participants showcase their ventures to a curated audience of investors, ecosystem partners, and community leaders, providing critical exposure and opportunities for growth.
For female entrepreneurs looking to take their startups to the next level, Innovest Ignite offers not just mentorship and resources but also a platform to connect with the wider startup ecosystem.
Applications for this edition are open until August 29.
