Russia fulfills President Putin’s promise to deliver 200,000 metric tonnes of free grain to six African countries, as announced last July.

Agriculture Minister Dmitry Patrushev confirms the completion of shipments to Somalia, the Central African Republic, Mali, Burkina Faso, Zimbabwe, and Eritrea, aiming to strengthen relations with Africa and foster cooperation.

Moreover, Patrushev informs Putin of Russia’s projection to export up to 70 million metric tonnes of grain in the 2023-2024 agricultural year, building on the previous season’s success of 66 million tonnes worth nearly $16.5 billion.

The commitment underscores Russia’s commitment to agricultural diplomacy and global market presence.
